proud to host three wonderful and unique markets:
The Artisans Fairs
The Quality Arts and Craft Market takes place under the Victoria Canopy EACH
SATURDAY from 10am to 3pm.
The Artisans Fair is a specialist summer attraction, and a market for Northland
Artisans to showcase their fine arts, crafts and skills to our increasingly
cosmopolitan community.
The Whangarei Town Basin comes alive with activity during an Artisans Fair.
Creative activities and interactive arts such as painting and candle-dipping are
part of the event, as well as a wide range of quality hand crafted products
available for sale to the public.
Product range varies from season to season, market to market and may include,
paintings, prints, hats, leadlight, sculpture, folk-art, giftware, jewellery,
flax weaving, knitwear, candles, beauty products and soaps, garden art,
photography, garden furniture, visiting national and international artisans,
interesting collectables (quality bric-à-brac), fresh coffee, gourmet and
international foods, specialty wines and specialty plants - and much more!
 The Twilight Markets
take place on the THIRD Wednesday of each month over summer: 16 Nov, 21 Dec, 18
Jan, 15 Feb, 21 Mar and 18 Apr – from 5:30pm to 9ish…
The market is fun and colourful and hosts a range of eclectic stalls, a
colourful wine bar area showcasing Northland wines and beer, Sangria and Mulled
wine – PLUS – a showcase of talented Northland musicians and performers. All
under the Canopy and on the Bridge.
The Bridge Bazaars
Due to challenging weather this season – the Sunday Bridge Bazaars never got had
a chance to get going! Due to these challenges, we are no longer going to go
ahead with the Sunday Bridge Bazaars this season – maybe next year!
